A photographer by trade and a fine artist by choice, Kayden Michael takes inspiration from light, texture, and color.
Motivated by authenticity, Kayden primarily draws from their own lived experience. They hope to imbue others with a sense of intimacy, their focus gravitating towards details that would otherwise go unnoticed. At its core, Kayden’s work explores a moment’s significance, making the deliberate decision to ingrain each image with a feeling.
Kayden has worked with multiple commercial clients, such as Elle Magazine, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Ralph Lauren. They have a fine arts background, having been showcased in several galleries across New York, and was featured at the 2019 Pingyao International Photo Festival in Pingyao, China.
Kayden is currently based in New York City.
Education
Kayden graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2021. They received a BFA in Photography and Related Media paired with an Art History minor.
