About
As a photographer by trade and fine artist by choice, Kayden Michael Strauss gravitates toward a lens-based mixed-media approach.
Kayden’s methods are executed deliberately, where a focus on agency and consent ultimately commandeers the end result. They adopt texture, color, and phrasing into their pieces by combining 2D art with found objects. All of Kaydens decisions are ingrained with authenticity, revealing parts of their person they wouldn’t otherwise notice. At its core, Kayden’s work explores a moment’s significance, intending to portray an image of a feeling.
Kayden has worked with companies such as Elle Mexico, W Magazine, Paper Magazine, Blanc Magazine, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Saks 5th Avenue, Kenneth Cole, Fujifilm, and Fluide Beauty. They have also worked with personalities such as Ru Pauls Drag Race’s Sasha Velour and Dawn, as well as actors Lachlan Watson, and Mason Alexander Park. Kayden has a fine arts background, having been showcased in several galleries across New York, and was featured at the 2019 Pingyao International Photo Festival in Pingyao, China.
Kayden is currently based in New York City.
